From 1988 to 1992, Mikee wrote and recorded 4-track tapes with English keyboardist/songwriter Robert Lowe. The duo, together with a number of part-time members, called themselves Fusebox.
Although both musicians were already dabbling in experimental techniques like feedback and tape-mangling, the output of Fusebox was consistently catchy and accessible. Life in the Circus is the band's only studio recording, and it showcases their best work in several pop genres.
